Hey John, I learned about the negative affects that porn has on your mind and body about a year ago (yourbrainonporn.com). Since then, I’ve made several attempts to quit (some lasting up to 28 days, but most 2-3). I’m currently on my 7th day in a new attempt, but only quitting porn not masturbation. My main roadblock, that I run into every time, is that I don’t build consistent momentum. Like I’m doing good for a few days (exercising, eating healthy, getting work done, not procrastinating), but one thing throws me off (usually called a ‘lazy’ day) and suddenly I feel the weight of all the changes I’m trying to make and everything feels hopeless and like what’s the point and all my limiting beliefs and insecurities come swarming back and then I’m back at square one. I know I should try harder, but if I have so little willpower as is, then how can I ever hope to build it up if I don’t have much to give in the first place?
